The lake is home to exceptional number of bird species, to wild ducks and egrets in particular.
THERE ARE OVER 50 KILOMETERS OF BICYCLE PATHS AROUND VRANA LAKE We recommend to visit the lookout ˝Kamenjak˝ located just above the middle of the lake and has a view of the entire lake, Pašman, Murter and the island of the Kornati National Park.

Three basic phenomena represent the basic characteristics of this area: the unique Telašćica Bay as the safest, most beautiful and largest natural port of the Adriatic with 25 small beaches, the cliffs of Dugi Otok or the so-called “stene” rising up to a height of 161 metres above the sea and reaching down to a depth of 90 metres, and the salt lake “Mir” with its medicinal properties.
THIS BAY IS SURROUNDED BY 13 ISLANDS AND ISLETS, TOGETHER WITH 6 ISLETS INSIDE THE BAY ITSELF.
The area of Nature Park Telašćica is a distinctly contrasted area with quiet and peaceful beaches and a laid down coastline on one side, and wild and steep cliffs on the other.

Including the submerged part of the river at the mouth, the Krka River is 72.5 km long, making it the 22nd longest river in Croatia. It springs in the foothills of the Dinara mountain range, 2.5 km northeast of Knin.
With its seven waterfalls and a total drop in altitude of 242 m, the Krka is a natural and karst phenomenon. The travertine waterfalls of the Krka River are the fundamental phenomenon of this river.
